I am grateful for....

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change - Wayne Dyer.

How can such a small statement have such a profound impact on me? It did. When you search for the good, whether it's in a situation, a person or your thoughts, you may surprise yourself with the positive results you are met with.

As I mentioned on my recent post from last week, when you begin to practice gratitude, your mindset shifts. Recognizing that while life may be hard, there is always something to be grateful for.

When you stop to think about the people you are grateful for it may include a long list of people from an elementary school teacher to your grandmother to a past coach.

Do you ever try to make space in your day for yourself that you can then later be grateful you did? Did you find time to relax, enjoy music you love, take a bath, read a book or go for a walk?

It's hard to do but something we all need to support our own well-being. We are better humans when we are nurturing our own needs and loving ourselves.

I am grateful for learning that taken care of what I need is not selfish but necessary. I still have to remind myself of this but have gotten much better the more I do it. This also requires setting up some boundaries which I find extremely difficult to do. Hopefully over time, it will become less difficult.

We want to be everything to everyone in our lives and sometimes that burns us to the ground. We have FOMO or think we may be letting others down if we don't follow through on plans we made.

Honour what you need and feel no matter who gets upset with you. You deserve to do what you need to do to take care of yourself. You owe it to yourself. We spend a lot of time in our own heads so what we say to ourselves matters. Talk to you like you would talk to your best friend. Be your own cheerleader.

So this is your reminder to do something for yourself today, tomorrow or at least this week. Protect your peace. Make time for you!

Before I sign off, please know I am so grateful for you!

Enjoy your week ahead and when you can, try to find time to change the way you look at things. Stay open to new possibilities that may come your way! Turn that light on inside of you. It's your time to shine.

That's all the bits I have for now!

Thank you!

Jules
